Now that you understand what a delay does, I will show you the backflip delay. Once you master this, you will be using it all the time and you won't even realize it.
This delay's timing is most similar to the wallrun delay. As your swing nears the followthrough, do a straight backflip (not a force backflip) and your saber will delay in midair.
Here is a demonstration.
Now, to add right on top of that, we have the backflip delay poke. I know it might go without saying, but the concept remains the same. ALWAYS keep your saber between yourself and your opponent. If you take that concept with you while you backflip delay, you will have backflip delay poked.
This is most easily performed with a D swing. LL
