All numbers are approximate
Force Lightning 1
Coming soon
Force Lightning 2
Fires a controlled single-target burst of lightning with extremely long range.
Effect: Single Target
Duration: 3.5 seconds
Damage Per Second: 21.4
Total Damage: 75
Tactics and uses
The range on lightning level 2 is very long and can strike a target from a great distance, but has no area effect. With distance, the lightning will actually strike the upper-left area just above your cursor. Very useful as a long ranged force attack.
Force Lightning 3
Fires a large, cone-shaped blast of lightning damaging all targets within the attack zone.
Force lightning 3 branches off into two versions, one-handed and two-handed.
One-handed lightning is the average kind, when holding any type of weapon. (i.e. lightsaber, pistol, etc.)
Effect: Cone of Effect (90 degree horizontal and vertical arc)
Duration: 4 seconds
Damage Per Second: 28.5
Total Damage: 114
Two-handed lightning is achieved by using force lightning with melee equipped. In the absence of a weapon, the user utilizes both hands to do almost double the original damage.
Effect: Cone of Effect (90 degree horizontal and vertical arc)
Duration: 4 seconds
Damage Per Second: 50
Total Damage: 200
Tactics and Uses
When using force lightning, you have to understand that you are vulnerable at all times during the attack. You can be pushed or pulled with no resistance, and you have no defense against saber swings or blaster shots.
The best thing you can do with lightning is surprise your opponent. If you run in and start blasting everyone you see with lightning from a distance, people will know you have the attack and avoid you or get out of the range of it.
If you do shoot someone with lightning, be as close as you possibly can to them (pay attention to their saber swings if they have their saber up) and try to get them caught in the middle of it. By the time the instinct kicks in to run away, they don't have time to get out of range.
Against opponents with absorb
You'll find that a lot of people are just too smart for you and your darkside powers, and throw up force absorb to stop you.
Don't worry, there are a few things to remember here and keep in mind.
1. Absorb has a duration time of 20 seconds. This means that they have to re-apply absorb again every time those 20 seconds are up.
2. In order to have absorb running, they must have force. If their force bar is depleted, absorb ends automatically. Try to get them to burn their force bar any way you can, but be careful not to shoot them with lightning once you see the blue aura. They can use that force energy to heal or extend the time of the ability.
Remember, healing costs force energy. Most people can't heal and use absorb effectively at the same time. Keep the pressure on and wait for the sound of absorb to stop. The moment you hear it go off, continue the attack to keep the pressure on.
If you can make them burn their force energy, go for it. Make them jump, make them push you. Anything to burn the bar down.
