Generally, the idea is to make contact with your initial swing, then before the swing ends, start a cartwheel. The cartwheel will delay the saber inside your opponent, making it do more damage, while also giving you a quick escape.
(Reccomend using any swing that works best for you)
Before the hit:
If you get familiar with how far your cartwheel moves you, and how your opponent moves, you can actually time a cartwheel attack to intercept them. If you start your swing a good cartwheel's length away from your target, initiate the cartwheel attack, and manage to hit your opponent with the delayed saber, you are sure to do alot of damage.

a cartwheel attack can ONLY be used with a left facing swing...i would appreciate it if the small technicality in "lesson 13 applications of a cartwheel attack" would be remedied at your earliest possible convienience
