A glide delay occurs when your saber delays after you land a glide. If you have read the lesson on jumps already, you are in good shape. All you have to do is perform a glide, and before you hit the ground, swing. The closer you are to the ground when you swing, the longer it will take for your delayed swing to hit. You can delay any swing with this type of delay. It is useful as a way to change the timing of your swing's animation to throw your opponent off.
I will first show you how it is performed, then some examples of combat situations that it is useful in.
